My friend uses it at that stage.....your monkey might want to grind it up before pasturization so it becomes homogenous and easier to infiltrate for the mycelium. Afoaf usualy soaks hers overnight then breaks it up before she pasturises. If done right you will be f'n amazed ath what it will do for you!!!!!

ok... .here's the deal... what kind of dung did you use??? Shit is going to smell like shit if it's not pre-composted, or allowed to sit around so the methane gas can be used up by bacteria. I also suggest you break up the big clumps of shit you seem to have there. You'll still get great colonization with poo (and great pin sets!) but you need make ALL of it EASILY accesible to your mycelium. They will have trouble penetrating CLUMPS of manure. Also, dont worry about the sitcks and what not (unless they are really big) . Monkeys colonize manure around here that comes from composts piles and it always has nice woody pieces in it and it always works great. Try to make it as POWDERY or HOMOGENIUS(as the other person said) as possible. If you dont it's no big deal either. Especialy if your using cube strains which have realy thick mycelium growth and will grow OVER anything but sometimes it doesn't grow THRU everything before you get , what looks like, complete colonization. But other than that your "shit" looks great. Keep us updated and let us know where you got it. It will be much easier to help you then. Peace
