Keeping a dream journal is the best way to remember your dreams. I did remember one dream a week when I started 6 months ago and now I remember 1-4 dreams every night.

yeah it can also help you induce lucid dreaming. If you notice reoccurences in your dreams they can act as cues that your dreaming. I usually remember at least 1 dream a night now, but I want more... more I tell you. Mwahahahahah

hehe seeing that movie was the reason I became so entranced with dreams. After I saw that I read up on all kinds of stuff pertaining to dreams. What a great movie.

Drugs or substances are not very useful tools for someone interested in dreams or lucid dreaming.

I feel that you shouldn't rely on a substance to remember your dreams because they are often unreliable. I've tried melatonin. It does work but not every nite for me. Taking a vitamin B complex also helps but it doesn't work nite after nite.

The best way to remember your dreams is to keep a dream journal. It is a tedious task to always write down every dream but when you stick with it, your dreams become very very vivid. In fact they start to form intricate story lines. But you've got to write down your dreams daily.

Dedication is most important.

Humans have dozens of dreams every nite. It's not that you're not dreaming, rather you're not remembering them. If you want to remember them more often, repeat to yourself while falling asleep "I will remeber my dreams tonite." That combined with a daily dream journal will make you remember maybe 4+ dreams a nite, IME.

You can get meletonin at walmart, it's a sleeping aid. I've noticed having vivid dreams after taking the stuff... and many other people report the same. It works very well if you have trouble getting to sleep. I take it, and I'm sleeping in 15 minutes. Of course, if you take it and descide to stay up, it's easy to stay up. Just keep a light on.

I've had reasonable success with calea. No lucid dreams, but very vivid dreams with lots of false awakenings. Doesn't always work though. The best thing for having lucid dreams IME was to quit smoking pot. And of course dream journals help. With practice, I've found that I can retain more awareness while slipping into sleep. I have more control over my hypnogogic hallucinations now. Full blown lucid dreams only come maybe once a month, but I am much better at controlling them than I use to be.

nicotine patches.

slap one on right before you goto bed, intense vivid dreams.

also, get a nice fat bag of dried Mugwort from your local herbal shop, put it in a cloth bag, and put it either in your pillow case, or right near your face while you sleep. dreams++ definetly.

awesome guys. Ill be trying all of your suggestions over the next couple of months. That stuff Adrug and Shroomism suggested sounds very interesting. Im also getting some Salvia soon, so Ill see what that does. Some of the herbals I can probably get free from a friend, so Im gonna make her a list and see if she can nab some goodies for me. Thanks for all your help.

Im not looking to rely on drugs for lucid dreams or to remember them. I dont have a problem remembering dreams really, I remember at least one long one a night and usually a couple intermediary dreams. Im only looking to experiment and see what is possible with some herbals and whatnot. If I find that there is no great difference then I will certainly cease the use of said supliments.

I agree with you whole heartedly about keeping the journal. Im pulling it out right now and putting it on my bed so I can write in the morning. Another good technique for inducing lucid dreams is to pick target objects. This is when, during your waking life, you say "I''m dr4eaming" every time you see a chosen object. For instance every time you see a red car, you say "I'm dreaming" Then if you dream of a red car you will be reminded that your dreaming. Choose a new object every day, and before you know it you'll be dreaming lucidly quite often. I need to get back into this stuff, its been too long

Try Kava, seriously this is one side effect I have noticed every time I take it- when I go to sleep I have incredibly vivid dreams- every time.

Melatonin, no more than 6mgs though...and you don't want to take it night after night.
Take it an hour or so before you go to bed, and allow yourself at least 8 hours for sleep.

B-6 helps.
small amounts of methadone also help.

Sometimes i take a dream cocktail of pills.
6mgs melatonin,
100mgs B-6
200mg Valerian Root
100mg Hops Strobiles
100mg Passion Flower
100mgs catnip

between 1/60th and 1/100th of a gram of 20X should be enough for a hoot - 6 mins inside of the dimensional interface.
