Lets see here... So the idea just popped into my head to check the old field and try to find and least one cubie. What I did come across were about 200 Destroying Angels, various other un-desireables, and then of course 2 Copelandia's growing near Mr. Roselend (a dead cow I found a few weeks back). I got one pic of a Cope. The second one I found was in a really dark area (a completely blue specimen) so I couldnt get a good pic of that one. Anyhow, it started pouring rain on me and I got completely soaked from it. Keep shroomin, GG

Right on! Isn't 2 good for happiness? Man, it would be KILLER to find that many Destroying Angels! Seriously. Around here, they are quite rare. Actually, amanitas, period seem to be rare, considering I've yet to find one this year. Last year, Panthers were everywhere. This year, I've found a few that were old, but none since. Like I wanna be picking them anyway! BTW, how'd you do that border around your picture? I got the crappiest photo program. Maybe I just don't know how to work it. Back to the copes: Awesome! Why aren't you finding the shrooms this year? Last year you were rolling in 'em! Stay cool!-Levi7.

Levi... you're from Pacific NW right?... If so, maybe the lack of amanitas has somethign to do with your area.. I live about 40 miles north of Atlanta and I have found uncountable numbers of death caps since last friday, and just found 3 destroying angels in my back yard today. Haven't found any magic's yet =\ Peace out yo -Gumby

Yeah, the weather is constantly changing around here. I haven't found in familiar magics in awhile either, but like I said, this time last year, I found Amanita Pantherina almost everywhere I went to look for Ps. stuntzii. Anyway, good luck in your hunts, man!-Levi7.

Damn those look so close to the ones I found. Even the cap is drying and splitting like it. Only mine had slightly browner stems, and no blueing anywhere except near the base of the stem. I've seen some with resemblance to cubes, andsome to paneolus, but the majority of what I found were looking like that pic. But why were they weak, and not that blue? Could heat have anything to do with it?
