Time man... I had intense HPPD after some stupid LSD experiments. After about 6 months, they are now almost completely gone. It's going to effect everyone to different degrees, so just enjoy the freebies while they are there and know that they will eventually subside.
You can get scripts for stuff (like anti-depressent and OCD meds) that supposedly help alot, but that entails telling a shrink you used LSD... and before he'll perscribe anyhting, I'm sure there will be plenty of BS you have to tell him about your feelings...

will some people please check into dr abram hoffer's works on orthomolecular psychiatry (once known as megavitiamin therapy or niacin treatment)...
if we could have a few dozen people check out the effect of niacinamide on their trip/post-trip "brain-burn", and what effect having a potential "antidote" on hand has on thier lives, well, that would be a useful collection of data points, yes/no?

No, you don't have to tell an MD anything you don't want to. You could simply go, describe your symptoms, have a blood test, have the doc review your medical history and then discuss treatment options.

Wow man! Two years and your still getting open eye visuals?! Thats seriously shocking. I wondered why you were always asking so many questions and being so cautious about trying MDMA and the like. But now I can understand were you are coming from.

I'm curious now. What kind of visuals are you getting exactly? How vivid are they and how often does it happen? Are they disturbing or is just something that's there. How much acid did you eat two years ago? I know this isn't really helping your problem but I'm really curious.

I thought all those "Flashbacks" and "HPPD" Was a myth? I hear everyone saying it is. Now what's going on. Is it a myth?? Or not??

Do mushrooms do that, and if they do, how high of a level trip do you have to be to have that? If you're a level 1 or 2, do you not get HPPD or whatever?

HPPD is not a myth, but it is EXTREMELY uncommon. Many people experience visual distrotions after using psychedelics, but this is not nescesarilly HPPD. If you have HPPD these distortions will be effecting you to a hude degree and seriously reducing your quality of life. Basically if you're seeing stuff, but can live with that, then you don't have HPPD.

Flashbacks and HPPD are a totally separate issue. Flashbacks are most common after bad trips, and are basically a memory of a state of mind. Any highly emotional or traumatic experience can cause flashbacks. They are not 'Free Trips' as some people seem to think, and they will only last a very brief period of time. A flashback is not like tripping, it's more of an emotional thing.

Any psychedlelic at any dose can cause HPPD if you are predisposed to it. It is not possible to say one dose wil cause it and another won't.

& not everone who does a psychedelic drug will have visual or ideational problems following the trip... (& of course, some researchers have found that drug-naive subjects have visual & ideational disturbances indistinguishable from "flashbacks", etc.)
but you can increase your odds of having "external reality interface disturbances" by taking large quantities of trypstuff as often as you can, and by not maintaining proper nutrition & diet, rest & relaxation, exercise (physical, mental, and spiritual), and "real-world multitasking" (y'know: friends, family, job/school, balancing the damn checkbook, etc...)

So WHY would someone risk having that by doing psychadelics? That's utterly ridiculous. You can say "Take it for a ride man, enjoy it", but there will be a point when you just want to see NORMALLY again. Come on now. I think I've been completely turned off now.

It really depends on your interpretation of "what's going on." Phenomenologically however, flashbacks and HPPD are very real. Meaning, yes, there are those of us out there that see things that weren't there before taking psychedelics.

Like I said, It's EXTREMELY rare, but none the less it's something to be aware of. If it's something that bothers you, then do some reading about it, don't just go by what I say.

Everything you're ever likely to do has a risk involved with it, and it's up to you whether you decide the experience is worth the risk. Personally I think the risk is worth it. Most people who experience visual distortions after taking psychedelics do not have a problem with them, it's just like the odd moving shadow, or shimmering ceiling, and these can usually be controlled. This is not HPPD.

I'm not trying to turn you off, I believe that people should have access to information regardless of whether it is positive or negative.

Those objects in the sky are with you for life. (Unless it IS a OEV), why? Because we all get that. It's bacteria and other crap on your eye. Very easy to see when looking up at the sky. Most people don't notice it. I notice everything, I've never tripped. I even see colors and stuff, sort of.. not easily prominent, but it's there.
