i own a wood chipper and love mulch. steamed the mulch for a few hours and then mixed the mycelium, some peat moss, and mulch together. put it in a cheap laundry basket from wal-mart.

whatever branches fall on the ground. (i chip) people call them trash trees. but any tree that gives off shade is a good tree IMO. ash, cottonwood, mulberry, oak, and trees i have no idea what there names are. i soak the mulch for a few hours and then stuff it in a pillow case and put it in a big pot. ( some water on the bottom) i have a smoker and i put the pot on top of the fire box. it takes a good size fire to get it steaming.
