Let me jus' start by saying, this is the greatest forum ever. I have been reading the ivation forum for proly 2 months now non-stop, and I went from not knowing ANYTHING about this to wanting to grow bulk w/grains for my first, you guys are great. Anyway I was just thinking, I have a 100'x30' garden behind my house and I live in the dairy capitol of the state I live in, and was jus' wondering if give off enough heat to be detected cause we have dope-copters over where I live like all the time, and I have a huge garden. Imagine a 100'x30' garden of , any input would be great. thank you all very much.

i don't understand what you mean? how are you worried about the heat?
is the garden outside, or in a greenhouse?
i also have "dope-copters" where i live, but they haven't come knockin' yet. the ones around here seem to scan the foliage for it because alot of farmers (esp. on the mountain) love to hide it between rows of corn or something of that nature.

Welcome to the Shroomery!
During the colonization the mycelium gives of a small amount of heat, it is only a few degrees warmer than the surroundings, nothing like the hot exhaust of a marijuana grow room.

well I guess I am jus' worried that the copters would go over and see a giant 100' x 30' red blotch on their infra-red cameras.

I'm a very seasoned green thumb, and I live in KY which is one of the top marijuana producing states in the US. I've actually talked to police officers about this and they say that they operate more off pure visuals than their heat detection devices. I'm thinkin that something with that raw area would definitely be spotted if you've got the dope copters around.

Man, if for some reason you decide to grow your 100'x30' garden full of mushrooms, you HAVE to take a picture for us.
Even if you don't post that shit until you've picked them all, I just want to see that much mushy porn in one giant field.
Imagine how much spawn you'd need?

Using 1-.3 q per sq ft it would take a good 1000-3000 quarts of spawn! Making a few 2x4 patches mixed in with other plants would work much better and be more realistic.
