Humidifier to a storage container again?
    #3436933 - 12/02/04 01:04 PM (13 years, 5 months ago)

I posted this same post earlier but I think I accidently posted it in the sponsors section or the trading section so here it goes again...Does anyone have experience with hooking up a humidifier (mines a Kaz cool0mist) to a 50 gallon (or 30 gallon) "Roughneck" or "Roughtote" storage container to make a fruiting chamber? Please include hose size/lenth,timer settings, ect.

For 45 minutes I knew EVERYTHING and the answer is LOVE.

go buy some 1/2" diameter plastic tubing from lowes, home depot, or pretty much any hardware store, get about 4 feet.

get a funnel and connect it to the hose, then secure the funnel over the opening of your cool mist (duct tape will work fine if you're handy)

then, cut a hole large enough to pass the tubing into your container, secure, and voila, you're done.

hardly advanced, there are alot of teks specifically describing this.

i find that you need to use a ultra sonic humidifier to keep the humidity at the required %. i run the coolmist 24/7 and the ush 10 mins every 2 hours. i also diffuse the thick ush humidity with a bottle stuffed with plastic (tube goes from ush, in bottle, out of bottle, into chamber).

"A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest--a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."
