Vendors, A quick quest about storing prints/syringes...
    #3411258 - 11/26/04 05:49 AM (16 years, 10 months ago)

I just figured since many of the vendors make prints and syringes for a living, they would know how to store them the best...

And using whichever method, about how long can I expect them to keep, just trying to get some safely put away in case a raining day.. Never know when your gonna need some to be referenced with your microscope.

www.Spores101.com vacuum seals every syringe so that it may be stored in the refridgerator for up to six months. Prints are stored on foil and paper sealed in plastic. I don't speak for the other vendors but I am sure they practice the same basic sterile techniques.

Good advise, we recomend that if you order extra syringes that you keep them inside the sterile packages that we ship them in, and refrigerate for best storage. Six months uder those conditions should be fine.

I had a PF syringe in a drawer for about 4 years and had 100% success with all the cakes I innocced so far (they were cambos i think). Took 2 prints and am ready to go on a second batch.

Spores are a remarkable tool of reproduction, that is why that form of reproduction still survives after billions of years. they are pretty rugged aren't they.
