i got 5 1 pint jars innoculated with a VERY sparce cambo print, its about 1 week and the jars appear to be between 5-20% colonized with fluffy white mycelium. its bright white, no discolorization. no visable signs of contams (tho i was careless a few times) my only concern is a slight sour odor. not vile and rotten like with mold, but more of a sour milk odor. it doesnt seem to be affecting mycelium growth, i suspect perhaps its caused by a fermentory, possibly beneficial bacteria. some insight to this development would be handy, thanks muchos Hongos amigos!

Well whether is is benneficial or not, it probably is a kind of bacteria. I think i've had what you describe, with the jar going onto be 100% sucessful. It must be a fairly weak bacteria which the mycelium has no problems defeating.
I'd just see how it goes, if you get 100% colonisation, great.
