i dont know, i never really liked the division bell, and its hard to imagine anyone prefering the division bell over such amazing albums like dark side, meddle, saucerful, or the wall.

to each his own though.

DSotM without a doubt. However I gotta give The Wall, Wish You Were Here and Meddle honorable mentions.

uh... not on the list but a classic: psychadelic games for may? Dunno if its too old and not recognized or what? but i found it on bit torrent, some guy recorded it off his old album into .ogg files. great except for some jackarse that talks too long in between some of the songs.

Can the critics still deny that the geometry of matter is directly related to the harmonic interweaving of light itself? There is no substance, in the absolute sense. We live in a reality of un-reality; all is an illusion and the stuff that dreams are made of. Our physical world is nothing more than a resonating ball of light and shade."

"If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things through narrow chinks of his cavern."

I'm wondering how many people who voted in this survey have actually heard all (or even most) of the albums.
I think everyone is introduced to Fink Ploy through The Wall and Wish You were Here...then maybe catch some Animals or Works (both excellent albums) and then think they'll be connoisseurs by choosing Animals or Works.
Maybe that's just some internet/couch psychology...I voted for Ummagumma, the live sides are mind-bending.

'Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they're wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It's all in how you carry it. That's what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you're letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain and leave the Shroomery.' ~ Jim Morrison
