All my jars are fully colinized and i was about to dunk and coldshock them before i birthed them. I was wondering what temperature they need to be brought down to to give them a good cold shock.
would they all die if they were to freez?

I would just have the fridge control set to normal. If your milk and juice hasn't had any ice in it you should be fine. You don't want to freeze them, just cold. They wouldn't die if froze most likely they would just take alot longer too recover.

cold shocking shouldnt be needed with cubensis, a reduction to fruiting temps is all that warranted.

I agree, but it would probably reduce the chance of contams during the dunk he's planning.

that is hippies intentions with the dunk in the fridge, he does not advocate cold shock other wise.

It's said that it can help, but it definately isnt necessary, I've never coldshocked.

I never really do either until the 2nd flush. Usually that's when they need some more water/moisture and a little bit of insentive to come out and play. When I cold shock i add a little h202 to help fight off contams. and i think it helps fight them off later as well but i'm not sure if it helps later but it never hurt nothing so Yeah. Gl, later

A more even pin set? No, An even pin set depends on your casing lair, as in how well you even you put your substate and your casing. B/c then it all colonizes to the top at the same time instead of one patch coming up before the other and distorting the pin set. And cakes....I'm not quite sure but I highly doubt cold shocking has anything to do with it at all. If anyone has a logical reason as to how it'd help i'd love yo hear, always ready for oddish opinions or the truth, lol, Gl all, later

Well cold shocking would uniformly stimulate pin formation wouldn't it?
