I did a bunch of karo jars at 15psi for 15min and all but one carmalized, can i still use these? im going to inoculate from another karo jar, and a grain to karo transfer.

I also had some troubles with Karo, how do you know that they are caramelized?

carmalized = means nutes burned crispy. I would not use them.

Next time, heat your karo & water in a pot, filter through coffee filter, then PC 12/15 minutes, just at 15 pounds.

Dextrose & light dry malt culture :thumbup:

exactly how my jar looks i know im doing good then..i just pc my jars for 30 minutes at 10 psi but on low setting on gas range.

I did something nasty, I love like comments on it. I did karo, pc for about 30 min. Then I inoculate it, with mycelium, and here is the nasty part, but from a substrate that was out of the jar, in the fruiting chamber? I did this cause that cake its all I got.
I was obsessively careful with sterilization. I used anti germs wipes, soap, Lysol, spry with alcohol, used an airtight globebox, and a sealed jar, no holes. (I pc it with loosy lid and foil layer and then just sealed it after transfer)

Do I have a chance?
How does contams look like?
