Seeds sprouting in bulk grow? wtf

Just like the title says. Have a few bulk grows going and they are all colinized and I am getting some type of plants sprouting in them. The only thing I can think of is that they were in the bulk substrate when pasterized and the pasterization did not kill them.
Substrate is a 9:3:3 ratio of chopped straw/ screened worm casting and vermiculite. I had this happen one time before with a smaller container that had a 10:1 ratio of straw/ horse poo. It sprouted and formed leaves mushies grew fine.
Spawn is all rye, I have had no contam problems so I assume that sterileality is not a problem. All the bulk substrate was pasterized together in rubbermaid tubs at 155 for 4 hours with water.
Any info would be much appreciated! thanks

Just leave them, no need to try and kill them and then have rotting plant in your substrate. And what slut said.

Increase your past temp by 10 degrees, and allow sub to sit for 24-36 hours moistened prior to pasturizing it , it may allow them suckers to germ ,then they will be killed off in paturization .

heh, sounds like your rye kernals are germinating. I had that once before. Your not pressure cooking properly. I would not recomend letting the rye kernals grow, they will sap the moisture out of your substrate.

I am fairly confident that my pressure cooking is up to par. 1 hour 15 PSI should defiantly illimante the kernals for germinating. I would think anyways, also if I was not pressure cooking the rye properly I would have mad contams. But the last batch of jars no contams.
I would think that it was possible for the bulk substrate to have seeds in it. And that 155 degrees did not kill them off.
I will also let the substrate sit moistened for 24 hrs to germinate any unwanted items.

If you are using compost, steer manure, dung/straw based substate, that is where your seedlings are coming from. I use a lot of compost &/or horse-manure/straw substrate & once in a great while, a seed or 3 would sprout out. No big deal.

Foaf pc'ed rye for 90 mins at 15psi and had some germinate in his bulk grow. There was only a couple, so he just let them grow. Mushrooms grow a lot faster than the grain ever will. Unless it's as thick as your yard, I wouldn't worry about them.
