chamber increases chances of contamination?

i am using filter discs and read to put my jars in a chamber just like a fruiting chamber but with not light.. will putting my jars in this chamber with wet perlite increase my chances of becoming contaminated? i have heard it will? thanks all......

I don't understand why U would want to place your jars in a wet inviroment, the filter disk is to allow air flow right?? then it would also stand to reason that the moisture would also travel thru the filter as well. maybe it won't contaminate but it will increase your water content in jars thus throwing off the formula, so why would U want to do that??

thats what i'm wondering taz.... the mm filter site says to do this... i am wondering what has worked for everyone else.... what has worked foe yall with these discs....

also someone(dont recall who) said that moisture does not enter with the discs.. when i pressure cooked there was moisture under the foil but it did not make it in the jars..... should i leave them in there or take them out?

Sticking them in a humidified environment helps to keep the substrate from drying out.

Tired of pimping yourself on the corner to afford spores? Well throw out that red dress and go to the FSR, for spores even you can afford.

ok, that makes sense, I haven't tried these out yet myself so I was curious about that. I was under the impression that you did them just like normal jars. But if that's what it says on the site then I guess it would be ok, so far I haven't heard 1 person say they got contams from these dics. I got some from NuShroom but I haven't had the chance to use them yet. Also, someone posted the other day that they had an extremely fast colonize from using these dics. My problem is I have 11 normal jars about to be ready so I have to wait awhile before I can use these dics.

Help stop the clear cutting of MT. Elphinstone. send a small donation to the Spore Lab are purchase a few syringes, help fight the Government bastards who want to destroy forest for $$gain......
