is it ok to preserve fresh shrooms in honey or is it better to dry them first?

either way is fine. Although when you put fresh mushrooms in honey they shrival up and can leave alot of empty space in the jar. If you dry them out first, then you can pack the jar full with out worrying about empty space in the jar .
