Im looking to get a tool and die apprentice, and am just wondering what a journeyperson would be looking for. IE what sorta stuff should i do if im looking for an apprenticeship. Im thinking about emailing a few local machining shops... good or bad idea?
doesnt hurt to jsut go to a shop and put a few months under your belt helping out cleaning up just to get a shop on your resume. i found that the fastest way. but im on the construction/wood end of things, didnt stick around long with the whole machining/metal click.
