Dell Computer is stealing my husband
    #3429543 - 11/30/04 09:15 PM (12 years, 6 days ago)

My husband is now officially working 12 hour days because of mandatory overtime. He doesn't get paid for it, because he is on salary. But that doesn't even matter. The point is that I feel like I hardly ever see him.

Like right now, I'm lonely, sitting at home, no money to do anything, homework is finished for a change. I'll probably smoke some pot and clean up around the apartment to entertain myself. Being lonely makes me feel depressed and cranky. I just miss my husband.

I don't really have anything worthwhile to say in this post. It's mostly just a vent.

During my busy season (summertime) I often work over 70 hours in one week and as much as 16 in one day. I come home, eat/shower/sleep, and do it again. I also get cranky when I don't get to see my wife.

At least I'm hourly and get paid good for all the overtime.

Thanks fellas...I alternate between wanting to slap myself for being whiney and then wanting to cry because I just want to spend some time with him. At least I know I'm not the only one who goes into withdrawls when unable to communicate with the spouse.

Hey Ellemy, keep your head up doll. Rejoice in the fact that before long you will be cradled in his arms in bed. It sucks to be away from the ones we truly love, I have to do it every night :frown: Though lonely times may trouble us, we can take comfort in the fact that its only temporary. Times like these make time together all the more wonderful. As they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder.

It's shitty now, but if he ends up moving up the ranks it can get better... or worse.

It's one of the reasons that young couples split; My dad worked days and my mom worked midnights for like 3 years but now they have somewhat better, when he is in the country.

I know we can pull through this rough spot together, but it just gets frustrating. Dell doesn't give their employee's any notice, they just say, "Oh, yeah, come in everyday for extra overtime for the next month. And on your days off, too."

At least I can take spiteful satisfaction out of the fact that my husband and the rest of his team are suing Dell for funds not paid. (log in computer fucked up, the team lost $600 dollars out of their paychecks, Dell won't recompensate)

Jerks.

Hey, I understand your situation.  It's hard not being able to see your man.  That must put a tremendous strain on your relationship.  You must be lonely a lot.

You know what you really need?  Someone who will listen to you.  Someone who will be there for you.  Someone you can confide in and be completely comfortable with.

This person could come over while your husband is gone and maybe bring some candles, some Barry White music, and a bottle of wine.  All you'll have to do is sit back and relax.  Randal will take care of you.  Randal will listen to your problems.  Randal will make you feel wanted and important.  Randal will give you a backrub.  Randal will put his hands up your shirt and get you all hot and bothered.  Randal will then whip out his massive dick and you'll go wild.  That's it baby....just like that......

:doggystyle:

Then I'll leave and never call you again.

Anyway, Kevin's overtime will be over in January...I think.

He's a sales rep...

He says that the tech reps have the worst job of all though...dealing with all the extremely stupid and angry people.
