you can probably find kratom plants online.

Everywheres out of stock or doesn't sell them.. only extract or dried leaves etc. :frown:

Besides... they are going to Amsterdam and im 99% certain it will be cheaper to buy some seeds there anyway (if they can find anywhere that sells them!!)

I've found khat seeds online... but the store's in amsterdam anyway!

Thanks for that link but its in the US or mexico or somewhere not in Europe. I'm not prepared to order from that far afield, especially for something that is perishable (or potentially perishable in the case of kratom seeds)

I don't think they are even going to have much of a good time, there are 3 of them, 2 are just obbsessed with the idea of visiting the prostitutes and the other one is contemplating the pro's and maybe some weed but interested in either really!! disgracful... total waste of a trip if you ask me!

I'd like to say they are the type to take in the culture etc.. but I know for a fact they will just go and get drunk and thats it. Such a waste :frown:

Last year I was in a smart shop in Amsterdam of which I can't remember the name, but it was close to the "Waterloo-plein". Ask around. It's also very close to the National botanical garden of A'dam. It had lots of live plants like Caapi, huge pedro's, Mimosa's, Brugmansia's etc... No Kratom then, but maybe now there is. They also had hundreds of very cool books, lots of seeds, lots of herbs... Really the best Smart shop I ever visited. You will see that there are a lot of smartshops that ask insane prices and give really exhilarated info about those plants . Don't go to Kokopeli's etc.

There is a great smart shop in the Dam called The Pollinator Company. A little out of the way but they always had a great selection with some of the best prices around and friendly service. Check it out.

Thanks for the tip about the botanical garden, haven't been there in years. Walked past there today, the butterfly garden is closed during december due to maintenance. (Something about a Catha Edulis plant being vandalized ) If you do visit and feel the need to imitate Funkey, please collect discreetly. They don't like people taking cuttings, for obvious reasons.

Koppie, Do you know the name of that smartshop I was talking about. It used to be in another location (It's past adress and the name is written in the Lonely Planet travel guide)?

Well, I trust the regulars in the garden with respecting the plants, but you never know who might stumble upon this page. I don't know the shop you're referring to, and I agree that the vast majority of smart shops are overpriced tourist traps with ignorant staff.

(Last summer I tried to find a salvia cutting and tried to explain it to several 'smart' shopkeepers. Most started looking around for seeds, even after I expressed my sincere doubts on their availability. The best (worst) was the guy at the magic mushroom gallery *spits*, who was so incredibly stoned that it took twenty minutes to explain to him what I was looking for. In the end, I ordered from MushMush. Just stick to the sponsors kids!)

Could the shop be Elements of Nature, which I see has a shop in that area? I plan to check it out tomorrow.

No, it wasn't Elements of Nature I think... It was run by a 40-year old woman, a younger woman and a native indian (who was at that time planting fresh caapi vines, seemingly with a lot of respect). When I go to the library next time, I will take a look in that travel guide, and then I will be able to tell you the name.

>Well, I trust the regulars in the garden with respecting the plants, but you never know who might stumble upon this page.

I agree, it was kinda stupid of me. I'll edit out the location description in my previous posts.

I didn't find the shop. At the address where it was supposed to be, there was a torn down building, so I doubt that it was the place.
