My plan for an outdoor bed(advice??)

Here is my plan. A freind and I found a great spot. It's in a river valley with really thick, healthy vegitation. I think the humudity in this area is high, because all the surrounding plants provide moisture(am I right?). I will take fully colonized PF and cambodian jar's and make upside down casing's with ryche hawk's 50/50 tech and wait for it to colonize. I will dig a hole, and put perlite at the bottom and on the sides(do I have the right idea?) Then I will dump the substrate out in the hole. Can I put a layer of soil over this maybe to prevent contam?? What kind of soil can I use?? Should I pasturize the soil as well. How long will it take the soil to colonize? Will I be able to leave this uncovered, or should I do it like *clyde* and put a transparent contaner over the hole and cover sides with soil??
Thank's for any help. Let me know if I'm doing something wrong.

g.. it'd be best to keep it out of direct sunlight or your sub will dry out. Covering w/ soil may hamper pinhead production. Might be better to just cover w/ 50/50, jiffy mix or coir. You can always take a misting bottle or squirt gun w/ you when you check it. If the casing layer still drys out, a dome or tent would work. Putting a thin layer of small leaves would do it also, but use fresh leaves, not dead ones. Then you can pick them off the fruit w/o any sticking.

Your plan will work. Are you going to seed the foraging areas at the festival? ;)

I wish I could seed the area's around the fest. That would be cool. I don't think the weather is any good up there for growing. Thank's for the help.
