Do I have to dig out the little peices of stem left after a shroom is picked from the casing. To do so would harm the next door nieghbors.

I never have and things have been fine. If it begins to rot, it may bring molds, but I have never had a problem with it.

In the 60's people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird, people take prozac to make it normal.

Give it a twist when you pick it, it should rip right out without leaving any stem.

I wouldn't worry too much about any stem you have left now.
