ok i have 6 jars of healthy eqs awaiting to be birthed i was wondering if i used unlce lazlos tek if it would harm the cake? or would a small chunk cut from it do no harm in the birting process. how many people have used this tek and does anyone have any suggestions for it? thanks.

This tek works like a charm and no, it won't harm your cake. When I cut off a chunk of colonized substrate, I give it a one minute bath in 3% hydrogen peroxide. Work clean, gloves, a sterile knife, etcetera.

so put the chunk in hydrogren peroxide for a minute after removal and carry on with the procedure?
