I have nothing to gain by pulling pranks in S&P, where a few of the people who know me best post here on a regular basis.

Sorry zahid! I've got nothing against you man, but I'm pretty sure you've heard the story of the boy who called wolf

Hehe you think I made this post for my own twisted amusement... "I know, I, a Muslim will tell everyone I'm gay. This ought to be good." I know I have a history of puppetry, but I strictly kept it out of S&P because of my roots. This is the heart of the Shroomery, where telling lies is not possible.

I don't like having to edit posts, hue, so please don't flame your fellow members. You've been here long enough to know that calling people posers is flaming in S&P. Please don't do it again, mmkay?

For whatever it's worth, I believe you.

Republican Values:

1) You can't get married to your spouse who is the same sex as you.
2) You can't have an abortion no matter how much you don't want a child.
3) You can't have a certain plant in your possession or you'll get locked up with a rapist and a murderer.

4) We need a smaller, less-intrusive government.

You're an angry, and strange individual. Thanks for the weird 1 shroom rating. You obviously have some issues to sort out.

Haha.. don't mind Hue, he gets a little edgy sometimes... don't put your fingers too close to his cage, though.

I love your new avatar! Cracks me up.

P.S. I've got nothing against gay people, but I do see where he is coming from... what he is trying to say (to put it a bit less offensively) is that by living life certain ways you violate the core "system" of the religion you subscribe to.

My solution to this was to stop associating myself with any religion. I am me. My religion is spirituality in general.

I think it's kind of close-minded to have the view he is expressing... It's like someone telling me I'm not really a Christian because I think Jesus was meant to be an example for us to strive towards and not "the only one". Doesn't change the fact that I agree with the teachings of Jesus... but I realize that it does not reflect upon the general definition of Christianity, so I stopped considering myself a Christian.

Shrug... it's just a means of avoiding sending mixed signals, I guess you'd say...

I'm not going leave my religion because of a short coming. I am in Love with Allah, my Beloved. Muhammad is Present in my Path to the Beloved.

Even if I tried to leave I couldn't. I do not have free will anymore. I have seen the countenance of my Beloved and I am unable to stop staring.

Maybe it would seem more reasonable if I was a Christian, but What's done is done. Islam is my apparent path to God. It's funny how things work out.

Trendal: You can delete my post, but I stand by what I said. It was fair criticism considering that I was just called a bigot. Your exercising of a double standard does NOT make me see the error of my ways.

I really don't care if you see the error of your ways, just DON'T DO IT.

Where did you see the word "bigot"? I searched the whole thread and your post was the first time that word was used :smirk:

"It's the exact same isolationist mentality that people use towards me when they try to tell me I'm not a real Muslim because of my cultural background. You obviously don't know the first thing about Islam. All you seem to (think) you know is that Islam is a strict religion for brown skinned people."

Right there. The implication that I am racist and intolerant is clear. Anyway...enough I won't be baited like this again.

I don't consider that baiting.

But anyway, I'll leave it at that. Emotions are obviously running high in this thread.

That is possibly because anytime that your posts are questioned for any reason you accuse the individual of racism and religious intolerance, as you have me an many occasions. I will admit you have found one of my few buttons to push.
