Question about WBS Tek

I was wondering, after you PC the jars, can you quickly poke the holes trough the tyvek filter, put the spores in, and then just put another filter on top of the one you poked the holes in? Will that little amount of exposure be to much to risk in terms of contamination?

Instead of the tyvek, would this be just as effective? http://www.mycosupply.com/cgi-bin/shopper.cgi?preadd=action&key=SFDI01

- They seem like they would very well and are very convenient too since they would be cut to fit that jars which I am also ordering from them.

Alright, I will just poke the whole and then put the sticky part of the band-aid over the whole, right? Then put the lid on and the double coffee filters.

I think I will just order from the Post Office those filters. Myco Supply is still going to be getting a lot of money :tongue2:

I construct my jars like this:

I put 5 1/8" holes in the disc, one in the center, one at the tips of a "cross" on the edges of the disc.

I put my substrate in the jar, then put a tyvek filter on there, then the disc, then the lid.

By the way, your signature sucks! :tongue2:

When I noc it up, I shoot thru the holes in the lid, thru the tyvek.
Then I rotate the disc just a little bit to cover the holes back up.

well is it absolutely critical to use poly fill? i use tvek along with cling wrap called press and seal..well i only poked one hole in each jar for spores. i didn't poly fill the tiny tiny hole that was made for the injection..i do have foil over the jars which i sprayed with lysol before putting on..i knocked up my jars in a gallon bag taped over the holes on the bag so i have a sealed somewhat bag..i also lysol the inside of bag let that sit for a minute then i put jars in...everyhting sound ok?

contams no no no! who's to say for real, if they don't work out then i will just start over.. i know that from some peoples exp thier way is thier way, im shooting for a glvoe box type deal with knocking up my jars inside the bag..maybe it's possible..

I have this card table. It's about 3'x3'. Well I open the legs and put it upside down (legs pointing up) on my counter and drape a very large sheet over it, then I lysol the shit outta the inside and work in there. I also use gloves and a facemask and wipe my arms down with alcohol and spray my shirt with lysol, haven't had a contam come out of my lil tent yet.
