Not all mushroom composts are used. Some are actually pre mushroom composts. Just read the bag, if it even mentions mushrooms ever being in it then it is worthless, Permagreen brand sells some unused compost, its a local company so i don't know if you can get it from everywhere in the country.

Tired of pimping yourself on the corner to afford spores? Well throw out that red dress and go to the FSR, for spores even you can afford.
