Late Season Oysters

There have been a few posts recently about Oyster Mushrooms getting darker in the winter; I was fortunate enough to find an example of this yesterday. As you can see the ones in the first photo are considerably darker than the ones in the picture taken last summer. These two photos are not of the same log, however this is typical of what I find around here in summer and in winter.

I hope the weather stays as nice as it has been. This time last year all I could find were Deadly Galerinas.

Nice finds. I saw a few separate patches of oysters out in a local park last week, they are still fruiting over here.

I've found alot of oysters down here in KY too ...they seem to have a darker grey color to them but are pretty abundant right now with rain and mild weather.
