inoculate in pressure cooker?

hello friends.
after securing rye grains and an 18 quart pressure cooker i am ready to begin my first attempt at what i hope to be a spiritually rewarding experience. for the initial phases i am following magash's tek/grow log; currently i am letting the rye soak, tomorrow i will simmer and pressure cook. by the way, i read somewhere that simmering isn't necessary--a soak is all that's needed. of course i'd rather not spend the extra time simmering if i don't have to. any thoughts?
but my real question is this: would it be alright if i simply inoculated the jars while they are in the pressure cooker? in the interests of stealth and privacy, i am having to work around my roommates. thus it would be far easier if i could just pressure cook the jars, put the whole thing in my closet, go off to work and then after they've cooled down inoculate them in the cooker and then immediately transfer them to the incubation chamber. what sayeth thou?
peace.

I'd simmer it. The soak is to let bacterial endospores hatch which may normally survive a pc'ing. The simmer is to soak up all the water that the grain will hold to get the perfect moisture content. As far as innoculating in the pc, it wouldn't hurt anything that i could see just as long as they're cool.

a good spray of lysol in the closet 15 minutes before inoculation is recommended. The factors of the jars being cool enough and the sterility of the closet were the only two concerns.
Definately soak 12-24 hours. Simmer until a few grains in each scoop were exploded.
Both steps are important

Thanks for the advice. I'm hoping to simmer and pc this evening. do you think it will be a problem if the grain soaks for longer than 24 hours? again, i'm having to work around my roommates and this may mean that the grains will soak for more than 24 hours until i'll have a private moment. perhaps i could just drain the jars and empty the grain into a big bowl or something? i dunno. any thoughts?

i dont know much on grain, but a follow up to the PC questions...
I just pressure cook my jar, let them sit in the PC over night (with the lid on), in the morning i use a plastic garbage bag as a 'glove box'...
