I ask this because i recently picked my first grown shrooms, and they have turned blue-er than any other shrooms i have seen before. we are talking violently blue.

anyone have the answer?

Blueing is bruising. Its kinda like my wife, you just barely bump her on the leg, and shes bruises like crazy. You probibly squeezed them a little to much when picking and caused it. Not a problem at all. Eat and enjoy

I'm pretty sure that blueing is just a sign of the fact that it is active. meaning that is will make u trip. i remember reading about using the quickness of the blueing as a method of determining strengh. but i cant remember where i read it and it didn't make much sense to me.

Not really. It can go either way, so there is no sure answer to that question. Mushrooms are just too variable in potency. Dark bluing may be pretty to some, but mushrooms that bruise very blue should not be more potent than ones that bruise not as blue IME.
