I think san pedro (trichocereus pachanoi) and peruvian torch (trichocereus peruvianus) are very fast growing in comparision to other cactis with mescaline. also these are the easiest to get

I had one T. Pachanoi grow over 22" this season. Now it's almost 5 feet tall and almost too heavy to move.

Of course I have some seedlings that are 1/2" tall now. From the same batch I grafted one to a Pereskiopsis... and that one is 3" tall and growing.

Grow also pachanoi. They have a more consistent alkaloid value than peruvianus.

It is usually said that peruvianus has more mescaline, but the fact is that there are some peruvianus with no mescaline, some with less mescaline and possibly some with more mescaline than Pedro. Usually the alkaloid content is the same as far as i know.

About suppliers, just take a look at the shroomery sponsors. Many do sell Pedro and Torch seeds. iamshaman and shamanspalace are the first that come to my mind.

I also recommend you get a cutting from a reputable vendor or shroomerite trader. That way you'll have a clone of a cactus which alkaloid content is most probably tested and positive. You won't take the risk of taking years to grow a bunch of cacti to maturity only to find out they're mediocre in alkaloid content.

Not to mention that with a cutting you'll grow doses in a season and with seeds you'll take at least 2 or 3 years to grow a dose, if not more.

After you have a certified alkaloid full cactus, go ahead and experiment with growing from seed!

Just my 2 cents.

I have some san pedro and peruvianus seed for trade if anyone is interested. It does take a while from seed, you won't get a plant to harvest the first year but it's really cheap growing from seed and one day you have a garden full. If you can afford to buy cuttings, that's the fastest way to go or do both, cuttings to use now and to plant and seeds for later.

well most of the US..
I was just looking for clippings and this one site has "Seeds, cuttings and rooted cacti." The cuttings are more than the rooted cacti. Can someone tell me the difference?

The only diffrence is the rooted ones you can put right into growth under full sun but with the logs you need to allow them to root in the shade for 3-6 weeks then slowly introuce them to diect light. Go with the cuttings since you have time for them to root till spring comes and you can put them out.

Check out T. bridgessi as well. Doesn't seem to grow as fast as pedros but its said to be stronger. I also think its the best looking with those huge spines.

Pedro is much easier to get a hold of and in bulk, for this reason its more practical to grow quick. Also pedros are good to work with beacause of there smaller spines and work well as a mature grafting stock.
