Why shrooms so small????

Hi all. Afoaf has a problem, all of his shrooms are small as hell! Why is this? Here is his setup:
20 gal. Aquar.
Cool Mist Humid. (Run 30min. on/30 off)
Aquar. Light (On usually around 16 - 24 hours)
The conditions are as follows:
Temp = 72-77 deg F (Avg. 74.5)
Humidity = 84 - 98% (This is constantly changing with humidifier cycles so no real average)
There are currently 3 casings in the aquarium. 1 is on 3rd flush, other is on 1st, other just starting to pin. So far the biggest fruit from casing was 2 1/2 inch max and thin. Had biggest fruit from cake (But only 2). They were Mexi-Cubs which are supposed to be a smaller strain, but now the Thai casing is producing 2 inch punks too! Very frustrating please help!

Cool Mist Humid. gives too much humidity for casings. Good for pining, bad for fruiting.

Oh. Well that sucks, any recommendations? I was thinking of going with perlite, but I don't know if there will be enough surface area. The casing pans cover around 80% of the bottom. Should I still get enough evaporation? Also will it be okay if they are only fanned once maybe twice a day with maybe an air pump pumpin in fresh air?
Thanks for the help dude!

I only put casings in my Rubbermaid container, no perlite. Fan the container a few times a day.

I was gonna say the same thing, optimum humidity for a cased crop is 92% (or so i've heard).. maybe your shrooms are drowning? It seems to me that a casing could get along just fine without any extra humidity sources since the casing/misting is providing the mycelium with moisture which is why we case in the foist place.

You dont want any perlite in there 98% is way too high for casings...you will get spindly fruits and encourage contamination.
85-90% is the maximum you should be aiming for...bin the perlite you don't need it.
