Greetings all,
I just wanted to see if any one had any tips on how to have a spiritual trip.I have tripped countless times,acid mostly.Running around w/friends,movies and blacklights,etc is getting old.But i feel the time is now to feel one with myself,universe etc.I want that soul cleansing experience.Any help to have a wonderful level 5 would be helpful and thanked.

I think the best way to do that is to trip in quiet surroundings where you can just lie back and listen to apprioate music eyes closed in the dark, just getting into your own mind.

its so simple it is hard to do
turn out the lights, turn off the music, lie down, shut your eyes, shut your mouth and listen.
instead of focusing on external stimuli (movies,etc)
focus on internal stimuli.
t mckenna said something like...isnt it interesting that the further in you go, the bigger it gets (he may have been referring to his arse tho)
if you dose properly, you may find a peculiar whining noise somewhere in the back of your head, follow this and it will become something else, what depends on you.

A trip planned alone with no disturbances. With good mushrooms, anything at 6 grams and above is a nice level 5. Remeber to give yourself completely to the trip and learn from it...

I've always got more spiritual insights from shrooms than acid.
If you want to have a real spiritual trip, then I say you first must really get yourself into that mindset, and be serious about it. Perhaps it would be good to meditate on it first before the trip, or at least just focus with intent on real spiritual issues and the meaning of your life. If you keep this mindset before and durring your trip then you will surely have a very meaningful and spiritual experience that could very well help to change your life for the better.

Level 5 sounds like a rough ride to me, i dont think id be very stable on that big of a dose. maybe one day ... good luck anyhow

Forget it. You can't want to have a spiritual trip, for it is like wanting to love -- absolutely useless. For me tripping (on mushrooms) with my eyes closed in a dark room is a torture beyond words, so I don't understand those who are suggesting this. On the other hand, "running around with friends" can be quite spiritual... Anyway, you might wanna try to go out of the ordinary and/or go to a natural surrounding (alone or with friends doesn't matter).

acid never worked that way for me, but we are all different.
i feel the shrooms are the best teachers (with 3g of ground syrian rue).

gotta agree, ive tripped with friends on the same doses, some have rebirthing experiences, some talk to aliens, some just wanna get laid, drink more beer and play vid games.
maybe it doesnt happen until the time is right
- when the student is ready the master will appear -
i guess the desire to have a -spiritual- experience is the start of a journey that will eventually lead to one, although it will probably be nothing like one would or could imagine.
do the groundwork, build a strong mental and philosophical foundation. study philosophy, different religions, mythology, physics, question everything, deconstruct, be silent.
you may hit total spla nirvana on a big dose of shrooms, but you still gotta get up the next day and take a piss, eat ya cornflakes and go to school/work. it doesnt make life any easier, more interesting and enjoyable perhaps but it wont get you out of the grind, breath goes in breath goes out, while you are in the meat there is no avoidance of meat maintenance.

Thanks, Crisper. Except I'd say that reading phylosophy books, studying mythology etc. is also a waiste of time. All those things set up wrong expectations which are a distraction. Go with the flow and try not to wish too much.

I agree with gribocheck. Most of the expereinces I've had alone in a dark room were depressing(not bad). I feel as if there's something missing. even when listening to my favorite music. I have had some cool expereinces alone though, but I prefer two or three good freind's and a comfortable enviroment. I'f you wan't to have a spiritual trip, do it in the forest with freind's. You must tune in with nature i'f you wan't an amazing trip. That's only my opinion. Good luck.

tripping alone on high doses is not fun, challenging is maybe a better description. i dont do it much anymore.
you get to face all the shit buried in your psyche, a hell of your own creation. but once you have passed thru you get the heaven bit. the level of bliss is relative to the level of suffering.
i guess im not talking about tripping for a laugh, also a fine activity, but using doses to go so far in until nothing exists but you and the other.
i refer to reading philosophy and mythology because we trippers are not the first humans to travel these paths.
dante`s divine comedy gives a description of similar inner journeys, as does the pilgrims progress, despite its christian overtones.
to really see the shit do a search for

and check out the guy boiling in the pot
