Possible infestation?
    #3419191 - 11/28/04 02:22 PM (13 years, 5 months ago)

SWIM has a plant which appears to be attacked by bug's. Does anyboyd on this site know why the new growth would look like this? The good folk's down at OG think it could be a type of worm, but by the looks of the leaves it is hard to tell. Could be a PH thing or a nutrient lockout. Anybody have any clues?

I've had that happen and always assumed it was genetic.

Now that I think about it, I believe it has only happened when I veged under florescent lamps.

A few nodes later the leaves were normal again and everything was fine.

Very nice plants.

I'd check the plant closely for any visible sign of bugs (not just the damage done but more of a "hey that's a bug") and I'd watch to see if it spreads. If it spreads then it's probably something external. As to what specifically, well you've got me....It's hard to tell just from those pics. It could just be the plant itself though. If new leaves do the same and the leaves before don't change, then I'd say it may just be the plant....

I was told down at OG that it might be a ph/nute problem, or it could be the result of a previous nute burn + light burn. or bug's. SWIM will try turning the lights off 30 min early then check it out w/ a magnifying glass and a bright light to see if it is an infestation. If not then some dolomite lime should level out the PH.

A guy I know has the same problem. It might be from overwatering. Or a nute lock up.

The only way to tell is let the soil get really dry before watering again, and use a ion mister to water the plant leaves until then.
