Ok, well i've read through just about every casing tek I could find, and have really come to no conclusion on any particular casing...

So I guess what im asking is; what casing methods have you had success & failures with? also could egshells be substituted for oyster shells?

Yo I was wondering the same thing but I totally forgot. My grand ma uses both in her garden -eggshell and slightly crushed oystershell- Eggshell might even be better being so easy to crumble up.

Success:50/50+

Failure: pure vermiculite, due to the difficulty of estimating the correct moisture through visual signs

well than whats a 50/50 with coir? is it verm and coir, or is it peat moss/coir or is it just coir?

I'm pretty sure he means 50/50+ AND coconut coir as two seperate casing methods; apparently this coir is the way to go being relatively cheap, 100% natural, and mold resistant plus the gro brick brand comes sealed and people have had great results without sterilizing it.
