Standing up too quick...

You know when you stand up too quick, and get really dizzy?
Sometimes I get so dizzy I fall over, everything ALMOST blacks out and I get a weird vibrating feeling through my body.
Suffice it to say, I try not to stand up too quick
Then this morning I stood up and walked right out of my room too quickly. Next thing I know my mom and sister are helping me off the floor asking what happened. Apparently I fell over and hit my head/nose on the corner of a table.

ummm....no. The only time this happens to me is when I'm drinkin' and I stand up quickly to go to the bathroom or something and am like "holy shit I'm drunker than I thought I was!" and get kinda tipsy.
Falling over? No offense but thats kinda messed up. Never had that happen to me before or ever heard of it.

Really? Hmm. Everyone I know seems to know what I'm talking about...
Stand up too quickly and you get dizzy. It has something to do with blood pressure going up/down too fast.

Dizziness caused by standing up too fast (and not allowing your body time to adjust the rate of blood flow, thus reducing the blood supply to your brain) is both temporary and harmless. It is often exacerbated by; i) loss of body fluids or dehydration (e.g. when you are hung over or have exercised heavily) ii) changes to your blood pressure caused by chemicals (e.g. aspirin, diuretics or anti-depressants) both of which are for the most part harmless. However, if you are experiencing this often and the effect is strong, there is a (very slim chance) that this could be caused by a medical condition (for example diabetes). I'm not a doctor, but if you experience this frequently, perhaps you should go and see one, just to be on the safe side. Peace.

Only real experience I can relate to is the time my friend was sitting down and I was standing up.. He offered to blow me a shotgun off of a joint.. So I bent over, inhaled the smoke, and stood up straight waaaaaaaaay too fast.. I almost fell over and passed out... my vision went all blurry and I was seeing dots nd shit..

Yeah, that makes sense as well; the warmness of a bath would alter your blood pressure by altering the volume of your blood, so getting out of the bath would bring this on as well

Headrush!!! I get those from time to time.. never blacked out on one.. it usually happens when I'm sitting still or squatting for long periods of time then standing up suddenly.. all the blood rushes to your head and everything gets all funny for a few seconds.. tunnel vision and dizziness. I did black out once though.. but that was after not eating or sleeping for three days and then taking bong hits and not sitting down It felt good to pass out though.. I think they are actually kind of fun.. but when you start face planting tables.. ouch

I get that way too
I just try not to stand up too fast, take it slow... Though I usually forget this and get VERY light headed, but only for a few seconds and then it goes away.

2 blood circulation threads in the pub.. hmm
Eating cayenne pepper on a regular basis is very good for you. It improves blood circulation tremendously and also aids digestion and is used to treat things like sore throat, headaches, toothache, chronic pain, etc.. It is also high in vitamin C. Cayenne soothes the digestive tract and stimulates the flow in stomach secretions and saliva. So drink that hot sauce.
Ginkgo biloba is also a very good herb for blood circulation. But not as good as cayenne.

I get these too. Usually when I stand up quickly as you've mentioned, I occasionaly pass out too. One time it happened in the bath and I landed with my chest on the taps.. not nice.
I was also at a concert once, having not slept well or eaten much for the past few days before, when I smoked a joint and promptly collapsed and had to be taken to hospital. Definatly not nice.
When I was in hospital the nurses put me on a saline solution drip and were mentioning something about low blood sugar levels. I was surprisingly stoned at the time for the amount I'd smoked and I couldn't remember much, the nurses knew I smoked some weed and I almost shit myself when some cops walked in but they were in there for someone else.
I've smoked weed and collapsed numerous times, but only after I've not been looking after myself properly for a few days or so.

i get this as well... once i was in a record store, looking at the albums on the bottom rack - i stood up really quickly, and started blacking out... for some reason i decided that i should go outside, so i stumbled towards to door, and kind-of slumped over trying to push the door open... the clerk comes up, looks at me really funny and says "dude - you've got to pull it"
i think he must have thought i was tripping out or something, but after sitting down in my car i slowly "came-to"

My wife has a problem with "vertigo" sounds just like the symptoms you've described. Could be blood pressure, inner ear infection,etc..I've had this myself a few times. Once my wife was prescribed motion sickness tablets..seemed to help. Getting a BJ in the shower always seems to bring on this condition for me.
