If I e-mail one of you guys some scans of locally found mushrooms, could you post the pics??? I would like to Id them.

You can use the attachement button to post them yourself. File needs to be less then 100,000 bytes, though.

does the pic need to be on a web page??
that is the part I don't understand.
What do I do,step by step, from the scanner to having the picture apear in this forum.

- scan
- resize until less than 100K bytes
- click post button, type the text of your message and make sure the "I want to preview my post and/or attach a file." checkbox is checked.
- Hit the "continue" button. This will take you to the "Preview Post" page
- On the "Preview Post" page, click the browse button and find the file on your local hard disk.
- Click the continue button.

This will include the image as an "attachement", but will not put it into your post. To insert it into your post, you have to click the "edit" button by your post and insert 'image tags'. Like this..

[image] the url of your image [/image] (make sure there are no spaces between tags and URL)

To get the URL of your image, click the "attachment" link next to your post and it will give you the URL in the address bar of your browser. Copy-n-paste and your good to go.

Now that I've explained this, you'd better post a lot of pics. :wink:
