The virtue of PATIENCE
    #3411389 - 11/26/04 06:50 AM (19 years, 4 months ago)

Lol?????you just learn to go with the flow. To get a decent crop is not easy. Mistakes will be made. Learn from them. Then go again ( & again +++++++++++++++++).

The trick is to LEARN ? PATIENCE, STERILITY & what works for you.

Very few succeed on their very first try, sometimes not even until their 4th or 5th try. Just keep trying, never stop learning & over time - you will get crops.

Once you have crops, learn printing & storage. Then syringe making & plate work with agar & liquid culture. Then learn composting. From there - you can go anywhere.

You will learn, the best initial investment you can make is an ALL AMERICAN PRESSURE COOKER, the bigger the better.

The second best initial investment is a FLOW HOOD. Built it or buy it. Ebay has great deals on 12x24x24 hepa filters  CLICK HERE

From there, if you have the room, buy yourself a non-working UPRIGHT FREEZER (you can find them for FREE or real cheap - all over) for use as an incubator & grow chamber. They are EASY to work with, adapt any way you want & can be LOCKED closed.

Upright freezer has more room than an upright fridge? I would think the only difference was the temperature.

a couple cuts and the freezer part comes right out.
On older ones anyway with a one piece door.

separate doors, but the freezer part (is smaller about 50 quarts) could be used as incubator.
The fridge as fruiting chamber, when lay on his backside its like a bathtub suitable for bulk! One can make perspex windows in teh door, less insulated then. Or make lights at inside of the door.
