Ps. weilii back in season(pics of pins)
    #340759 - 06/14/01 03:28 PM (22 years, 9 months ago)

I recieved word that they had started to fruit in other parts of GA, so I walked back to check ole faithful and there they sat, a good bit of pins in various parts of the area. I'll take pics in the next few days when they are matured, if we get some rain tonight it will help speed things up a bit. I am guessing that they will only fruit for another few weeks until it get real hot(high 90s-100's) and then go dormant again until late august early september.

Here are some pics:

I think I may start caliing this mushroom Psilocybe caerulescens var. weilii...would make more sense :)

YEAYYAYA! Lizard nothing is more stoking to me than seeing your weilli's. Seeing your first finding last fall blew my mind. Something about finding new species....i think i need to take a road trip and find some cubes and cop cyans, maybe even try for some more exotic species such as the weillis. Goodtimes, goodwork....

well, if it stops raining then they may stop growing, then youll just get these stocky little caps. i would suggest spraying some water on the patch to keep it moist till they mature. just in case the rain stops for too long. it cant hurt.

madness never slows down, it only piles up.

Shiot, it ain't gonna quit raining around here anytime soon. Just since those pics its rained about 8 hours. The local creek about 100 feet from this patch is badly flooded. This creek is usually 2-3" deep and 4 foot wide, its now 15 foot deep and 40-50 foot wide! 14 countiesin GA have been declared disater areas because of all the flooding. Some folks need boats to get around.

I'll walk back to that patch today to see if there has been any progress, may take a pic or two to show one days worth of growth.
