Soaked to much rye! Also: simmered to burst, now what?

Anyone knows if I can soak my rye some longer, like 36 hours instead of 24?
Cause I dont have enough jars for all the rye, hehe..

If not what should I do?

Me the beginner let the other part simmer too long, now 50% is burst.
I know that can cause to much water in the jars, what can or should I do / not do?

thing is,
the rye could sprout.

if it spouts, its useless for ur purpose of spawn production.
imho it is very likely to spout @ 36hrs, i usually experience sprouting
after a soaking time of 24 hrs already.

that might work... but chances are your better off tossing what you dont use, and making more when your ready... either that or get more jars :smile:

Yeah but its midnight here now...

Ahh why am screwing things up all the time?

Simmering too long, soaking too much Rye..

ORRR I toss the bursted rye, and simmer the surplus Rye??

Thanks giving sucks! All my informants are eating turkey now leaving me here with my questions. :frown:

Am I better of simmering all the rye and keep some simmerd rye for 12 hours after I rinsed it?
