Trip preparation/anxiety
    #3407904 - 11/25/04 11:36 AM (19 years, 4 months ago)

Hey folks. I'm going on a journey with 3.5 grams of fungus tonight.

This will be my 5th time. The first and last trip I had were great, but the middle two didn't go as well as they could have. Got in some negative thought loops.

So, I was wondering if you guys might offer some symbolic good vibes, or some advice on clearing my mind before. I'm pretty confident that I'll be alright (my last one went fine back in June, same dosage), but feel like I could still use a little support.

Metatrad,

Personally preperation has never done much for me. The trip seems to take on its own vibe once it starts anyways. A few things you can do to make your trip go in your favor in my opinion are 1) Surround yourself with chill people to trip with (unless you are solo tripping) 2) Make sure your surroundings are peaceful and don't disturb you, i.e. no expected visitors for that time period. No phone calls too.

I like to solo trip in my room alone with some William Orbit playing over headphones, laying on my bed. No disturbances, no plans.

Just my advice, hope it helps.

Yep, I'm going solo.

Good point about preparing or planning to much.

I think the best thing I'll be able to do is sit with my guitar, and concentrate on that during the initial come up at least. When I'm holding the guitar, it seems to help everything else fade away for a little while.

i like to put on some positive music (bob marley, some led zeppelin, etc) and just be comfortable (nice down comfortor, lots of pillows, etc) when solo tripping, that sends me towards a good trip...or you could just take some E before hand

Just make sure your environment is perfect.. you have everything you might need during the trip ready, like food, water, a dark room if you so desire, and make sure there is no one around that is going to get on your nerves. Also turn off your phone and make sure you have nothing else planned for the next six hours or so.

Having a good playlist ready is good. I usually prefer mellowed out music, so I get relaxed, because I have a tendency to not being able to stop moving.
