Possibly killed Spores with heat?
    #3406648 - 11/24/04 11:39 PM (19 years, 4 months ago)

I was just thinking about this. When I first inoculated my bag, I set it directly onto the heating pad without any towels. I left it that way for about 45 mins until someone on here told me to take it off. When I felt the bag, the bottom was hot the other parts weren't. Is there a possibility I killed the spores with this heat? Now everything is just warm and moist. Its just been 5 days now with no myc growth, and I was worried that this is why.

spores are more resistant to heat than mycelium. You should be fine, stop being impatient and wait a few days!
