Has anyone tried using Karo water to dunk/shock with? *Update*

I'm giving this a shot to see what happens. I'm on my third flush. It would make sense that this would help to reintroduce some nutrients back into the cake. Anyone already tried this? I'm right in my thought process right?

I don't think Karo water has a lot of nutrients in it. Karo is corn syrup, vanilla flavor, and water right? There might be trace nutrients if you are using tap or spring water, but other than that, I don't think it'll make much difference.

Maybe not. I read that you can use dog food and things like that. If myc grows in it than maybe it will help. I may not even be able to tell any difference, but I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Its going to contam. It will create a nutrious coating on the ouside of the casing/cakes all over it for contams to inhabit. DONT DO IT. Or do it, what do I care, I got lots of mushrooms.

Yeah, contam city, but fuck it, it is the third flush why not give it a shot, I sure haven't tried it. But it seems like it would be like leaving a karo jar out in the open air or a petri and that seems like a sure fire way to contam.
But like i said don't knock it til you try it.

Try rinsing off the cakes after you dunk them so there won't be any karo on the outside. It might work better if use the karo water instead of normal water at the beginning when your mixing the substrate.

Maybe you could do your normal dunk and roll & then try injecting your cake with your-karo h2o/nutes. Seeing as though the cake would already be saturated, it would be easy for the nutes to be evenly distributed. ::shrugs::

Dunking is creating a small half ass casing layer for ur cakes right? Casing layers are for microclimate, not for nutes!

Well I've got them dunking right now. Yes I added H2O2 to it and I plan on rinsing them very well. If it doesn't work, fuck it. It was the 3rd flush anyway. It's not like I'm gonna run out anytime soon.

I didn't notice any real difference between the regular water and the Karo water. No contams though.
