Probably nothing, but I would treat the water with peroxide or something. Standing water is a good place for contams to start.

Yea, I treated it with H2O2. But that's no problem? I understand that the jars will be a degree or two higher in temp. I have 3" of water with the temp sensor at the very top of the water, then the temp set at 80 deg. Is this aight?

You might ponder that contam's & water is like Las Vegas to a gambler. Another issue with anything WET, is that contam's can WICK into anything through it being damp. A dry enviro, is better than a moist one - for incubation (IMHO)

I just don't see the need to do so. Can you explain that to me? I'm sure there's something about the situation I don't know.

SO if I buy the big bottle it's useless three days after I open it? Explain that some more please.

no, when you mix h2o2 and water, it loses effectiveness after 3 days. i should of been more clear.

iodine in water (like a pmp's water) is much more effective and requries much less ratio of iodine to water then h2o2 to water and doesn't lose its ability to kill bacteria... like 50:1 ratio is highly effective.. just a few drops (10-20)per gallon.

H202 breaks down with heat at light..if you put a heater in your bottle then yes it will break down in a few days. And notice it never comes in a clear bottle.

This is a BAD idea. Listen to me and use a second tub or dont and get contams. It'll probably work once but if you keep using it..just wait until you can't grow anything in your house because theres so many mold spores present.

It just seems like such a hassle, cause evertime you move the jars you'll have to be careful that water doesn't drip on the tyvek or whatever is covering the other jars, to really avoid contaming the whole thing.
Seems like it would be easier to use another tub, but it still seems like it could work if your extremely careful, (but I always seem to fuck and make messes, so better safe than sorry
