why do you want to use it in a spore syringe? or honey tek for that matter? Pressure cooking would destroy the composition of h2o2. And if your using sterile water, i.e. boiling it, you would also break it down. So i dont see any beneficial use with it. I guess you could add it to the water after you boil it, not sure of the effect on the spores though.

H202, correct me if Im wrong, is used to break down invading contaminant spores. When applied to either spray water for cakes and casings or to standing water in a fruiting chamber it protects against contaminants ever germinating before they get the chance to do so. It has little to no effect on already colonizing mold and/or bacteria.
Therefore putting it into a syringe, even if using a karo tek with pre sterilized serim, is kind of useless.

regardless of whatever he is asking, you NEVER add H2O2 to anything spores are going to be innoculating. Only use H2O2 when using mycelium.

DONT use on spore syringes. I wouldnt use on liquid myc either..there is no benifit, it will break down quickly and only protect your myc for a day or so, what good is that? Add to all your misters and humidifiers and dunks though.

does h2o2 break down in water? from my very little (key word: very little) knowledge on this subject i am pretty sure it breaks down when exposed to oxygen (i could be wrong).

Its actually in water..thats what the other 97% is actually. What you have to worry about breaking down your h202 is light (notice its never in clear bottles like alcohol), heat (it breaks down at I believe 125 degrees but it might be 130..its around there anyway), and peroxidase (an enzyme produced by most organic things like mycelium, grains, molds, bacterias).

ok so then why would storing a syringe with peroxide in it a bad idea. when you inoc would the grains kill off the peroxide? it should just kill contams in the syringe, or would it kill the spores also? i just want to know why everybody is saying no to the syringe with peroxide, it seems like a good idea to me, but once again i dont know much about peroxide.

Im not sure you question, I gave you the reasoning a to why you dont want to put it in syringes..it will not do much good in a mycelium syringe because peroxidase would break it down if light and heat didnt anyway so it will only give you about a days worth of protection and it would kill spores in a spore syringe (thats what its meant to do, you know kill spores, thats why we use it, to you know, kill spores). I'm not sure where your confusion stems from but maybe this cleared things up?

yeah it clears it up for me thanks but still another question. is there anything that you can put in a spore syringe that would kill harmful spores but not hurt the mush spores. sorry for the previous dumb question but my thinking was what i just stated in this question.

I wish there was some magic disinfectent that would kill all spores and contamination and leave our beloved spores and myc. alone.
