 3 days and no Myc growth?

Just wondering if this was normal? I am growing with a mycobag and inoculated it 3 days ago. I didn't inject it into the substrate but on the sides and then mixed very well. I have it about around 83 degrees right now. The substrate is warm to the touch (through the bag), but not hot.
Should I expect to see growth in a day or so? I heard that when it takes off it spreads rather quickly. Thanks.
Forgot to mention that the strain was EQ.

it usually takes around 6 days for a MSI to show signs of growth....

yeah just be patient. Sometimes it can take a while for the spores to germinate. If it gets past 10 days or so, then you can worry. Like you said once it starts colonizing it'll rip through that bastard like a bat out of hell... hopefully. You may want to nudge the heat down just a touch as the larger amount of substrate may produce more heat on itsw own once it gets going. Im not sure on that part though so wait for someone elses opinion.

Once it takes off with growth, I will try and keep up with a grow log. I just need to get some batteries for the camera.

Yea, this is my first grow. I've never even tripped before. So I am just doing 1 small bag to expiriment.

Most first time bulk bag users have a tendency to peek, poke, fondle & handle bags - after inoculation. Patience is a GREAT virtue. Best to give it OPTIMAL conditions & uninterrupted time to colonize. The more you peek, poke or fondle, the slower it will go. To much handling, often gives rise to problems - you don?t want (stall).
4th or 5th flush (forget which)

once the growth starts mash the bag, then mash it again at 50 percent. My growth had a nice big patch of white near innoc point, then i mashed it and now whit eis all over the bag within 1.5 days  I'll see if i can get my digi cam to document the bag growth

Yea, I just checked and no growth yet. Hopefully, I might see something tomorrow. Always keep a positive mind though . I don't see any signs of contams, so thats a plus. I just hope I get some growth soon.

it takes 5-6 days for spores to do their thing... sometimes longer. For instance, on my first grow i inoculated 12 jars. 2 batches of 5 and batch of 2... That was 10/30, 11/1 and 11/3 Jars from the first 5, only one showed life after a week, but i kept them in the TiT anyways. Well, 4 of the first 5 never start showing anything after the other 7 jars had.. but i left them in anyway.. making sure they didn't get contamed and 11/21-11/22 they showed life, finally. I realize what happened was i didn't shake the syringe, so, it took a long ass time for them spores to find each other. so don't worry. first signs of life after almost a month... thats.. well.. hope for all those who wate.

Yea, I shook my syringe. I didnt notice any clumps of spores before hand though, but I shook anyway. Alright...just wait. I can do that . I ordered another bag just incase any problems arrive.
