I like it. Was it meant to be highly symbolic and meaningful, or am I just reading into it too much? heh...

Like all of my work... usually painting, meanings usually present themselves subconciously as I go. Rather than thinking it out all the way in the begining, I let it just happen. As it turned out it became sort of a commentary on the way so many are struggling against time. The idea of meanings in art works has been a bit of a dilema for me. Like I said, I try to be automatistic in my ideas. Not like Pollock, but more like Francis Bacon. He just started with photo references from books and snapshots and as he painted he just let the symbolism happen on its own. As far as reading to deep into things, no your not reading too deep. I think my role as an artist is to allow the viewer to draw his or her own meening from the work, based on their own experiences, rather than to push my views in their face. My work should mean something completly different to each person. then again this was just play time with photoshop... or was it

Haha.. yeah, I hear you man. I sympathize strongly with what you said there in both how my art is made and how I think it should be interpretted.
I love going back to pieces I made a couple years ago that had no "intended meaning" and see how obviously I was subconsiously expressing myself.

Peruvian: Well, the irony of this, of course, is that this money, which is in the billions, is coming from your country. You see, you are the major purchaser of our national product, which is of course cocaine. Host: On one hand, you're saying the United States government is spending millions of dollars to eliminate the flow of drugs onto our streets. At the same time, we are doing business with the very same goverment that is flooding our streets with cocaine. Peruvian: Mmm-hmm, si, si. Let me show you a few other characters that are involved in this tragic comedy.
