Got my casings too wet.

I got my popcorn casings too wet. They had a lot of rizmorph growth. Spikey mycelium standing on top of the casing surface. All this mycelium is been matted down. Layed down from getting too wet. I have turned off the fogger now and turned on my second air pump to give me air. I don't always use this second air pump because it can dry out the casings. Well should my casings be ok, or will this slow growth.

They should be ok so long as you can naturally remove some of the moisture from the casing I would think.

I was experiencing some condensation on top of my myc as well on my casings. I just began providing more air flow and it cleared right up and started pinning. The amount of condensation I was getting was nearly to the point I thought it was hopeless. Apparently I had too much humidity for such a small fruiting chamber now that I'm using littler ones.

if they made it all they way through the case run and its just a moisture problem i wouldnt worry, try to dry them to the optimum moisture content, no less.

"A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest--a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

if they survive dunking, they will survive your over-watering. Just tip container over, dispelling extra water. DOnt dry with a towl or handle them.. matters will just get worse.

You could also poke holes in the bottom of your casing tray, and let the water drain out by gravity..

take the blow dryer to it.

it really should work though, let it run like five mins to kill the contams stuck inside the blow dryer, and then gentley dry the caseing layer. hold it a couple feet away cause they are hot.
