Thoughts on modifyin my PC with a manometer

I was thinkin of having a manometer welded to my PC lid. It'd be nice to know the exact pressure.
My wonders are, can I use a manometer for air? I found one that can take 170psi. Maybe it would rust, but then again air also contain water, so maybe it shouldnt?

why would it be nice to know the exact pressure? i just keep it around 15psi, its really unimportant to me wether its 15.0001psi. or 14.99999... i would think if it's max is 170psi it probably isnt too hot on getting an exact read at 15 anyway. if your worried about it not getting enough pressure, just turn up the heat/increase to 20psi. and how would you check the psi if its welded inside your lid? and if your drilling a hole i sure hope you're a good welder, my pc is aluminium and i havent seen any aluminium manometer's, though im sure they exist, but i doubt it would be an easy weld.

Dont;
Run with scissors. Drive while blind. Play in the street. Take bones away from strange dogs. Modify your pressure cooker.

What he said.
Also: >My wonders are, can I use a manometer for air? >I found one that can take 170psi. Maybe it would rust, >but then again air also contain water, so maybe it shouldn't?
Maybe it isn't supposed to be heated to 250?F?!

I reckon it could be screwed on after drillin, and using some heat-resistant rubber as isolation. The PC is mostly stainless steel
Hey I just want to actualy see the pressure instead of that indicator. And the process putting a manometer on wouldnt be so hard I reckon

how is that more exact then the one u have on there? it looks like it goes in increments of 10psi. and how do u plan on getting that seal pressure tight? you sure as shit wont be able to do a good welding job. it looks pretty though.

I am talking about temperature here, not pressure. It has to be able to withstand 250 degrees Fahrenheit if it was to be used as a pressure cooker gauge...
For your safety, advise you to NOT mess with your pressure cooker. There are easier ways to see if your cooker is under pressure or not http://www.fungifun.org/pcooker/
