how long are jars sterile?

I sterilzed my jars with the substrate in them about 2 weeks ago. the thing is that I'm still waiting for my spores to arrive. the good news is that i haven't taken the aluminum foil off the jars yet and they actually are still in the pot that i sterilized them in with lid on top. i haven't taken them out once...do you think that they're still sterilized?

If they're sealed and actually sterile, they'll keep for a long time. Think 'canned food'.

Letting them sit for a while is a good way to check for contams that might have made it through sterilization.
