Extracting psylocybin from colonized PF cakes?

If your wanting to trip off of PF cakes is there a way to extract psylocybin or would you just eat the cake?
Is this even possible or safe?

Pscylocibin i believe is found within the mushroom itself (i could be wrong)
but the best way to get pure pscyl. is to boil it in 100% alcohol (everclear) and then let the alcohol evaporate and you eat the left overs (not sure if its a solid or a liquid)

It would behoove you to just fruit the cakes, and discard used ones.

Yea I can attest to it. I ate one and didn't get much of an effect. I wouldn't do it.
You'd be better off checking out erowid's extraction documents on it. www.erowid.org
I also boiled two, cut into 1/4"x1/4" pieces into tea and drank it with no real effects other than slight nausea and maybe slight visuals. I was high when I did it though too. If you want to try something like this, I would use "WARM" water instead of boiling if I were to do it again.
Anyway, if you trip off mycelium you should shoot me a PM with what you did. I've experimented with it a little bit already.
Good luck bud.

Dude your a dope hound Look man you can try the "eat the cake thing" but just like anyone before you. Once is enough but, I am sure you will try just like the rest before you Ok don't eat Vermiculite under any condition. Verm cakes will need to be extracted. How? I have no clue never did it. I ate a Whole Grain Rice cake, no Verm. But it just isn't worth it. Grow shrooms

Thanks for the advice!!!! My friends and I were just really fiending bad last night. After all the responses... I've decided to just let the mushies grow & do it the natural way. Thanks for helping me get my head straight.
