Does anyone know of this TEK?

I was wondeing if anyone had a TEK on sterilzing hay/straw in the microwave. If so, could you please tell me the name of it? If not, I gonna invent one and call it the Celsius TEK.. =D But I am pretty sure someone is already one step ahead of me since I am only a Newbie cultivator.

I'm not sure if sterilizing hay in the microwave is a good idea, at a certain temperature you would kill all the benificial bacterias in the straw and you can't check the temperature if you nuke it, plus I have a friend that uses his microwave all the time and he now has 3 heads and sixteen tentacles of varying size comin out of his armpits. I've never grown shrooms so I could be wrong. Maybe you've got something, i wish you luck. Is filling a pillowcase with hay and boiling on a stovetop a process that needs further simplification though?(using a thermometer to maintain at 170 degrees)

Here's the deal:

In the Straw Tek, you are not STERILIZING the straw. You are only PASTUERIZING, or killing all the little insect larvae and eggs. If you sterilize, you open yourself up to anaerobic bacteria which will make you quite unhappy in many ways. Steep in water at 170 degrees for 1 to 2 hours. No Mikey wave!
