Modifying Flash Games
    #3396028 - 11/23/04 12:07 AM (12 years, 6 months ago)

Does anyone know if it is possible to modify flash games (like ones you will find at miniclips.com or shockwave.com)? If not is there anywhere on the web that you can buy custumizable flash games at a decent price?
I want to put some games on my website, but I want my own name and logo, not some company's.

In order to modify the Flash games you find on the web, you need to use a program like SWF Quicker. You could also find a Flash decompiler and then edit the source with Flash MX.

Peace,

@ bio
Umm nah you'll find most of those are password protected, so when you export the movie you type in a nice long password so nobody can import them and rip your design.

@ythan
Yep the ol decompilers work great for borrowing images, sounds, sprites, coding etc etc
It will take a while to rebuild a decompiled .swf file into a .fla source file. ESPECIALLY if you haven't made many flash movies before. There are tools like ImperatorFLA that claim to rebuild a .swf into a .fla file automatically but I have only tried trial versions.

Another option is to find them on forum board (installation/releases) like invision board or phpb board (i know some offer them for free to enhance your personal forums).
Or www.flashkit.com has some nifty open source if your feeling creative.
